I upgraded this machine a few months ago - apologies for not submitting 
a report earlier.  I've just most of the rest of the servers and submit 
this for the sake of completeness.

The reason for upgrading this machine early was to run particular 
versions of php/mysql to install SugarCRM.  The upgrade was pretty much 
textbook:

sudo aptitude update
sudo aptitude dist-update
sudo aptitude upgrade
