Re: Problems with alsa and 2.6.17 kernel

Since you've got a .de email, I would suggest you write to 'debian-user-german'. Or any other 'debian-user-*' list :)

How to subscribe you can read here: http://www.debian.org/MailingLists/#subunsub
Or you can subscribe with this form: http://www.debian.org/MailingLists/subscribe

Here a overview of the debians mailingslist: http://lists.debian.org/

Regards
D. Geiser

P.S. Since this is my first post to a list ever, I hope I didn't screw up the threading.. ;)

This is a dev list; it's for bug handling issues and other things,
not for users to talk about issues with testing.

I am sorry, I wasn't aware of this.

FTR I support the idea of d-t being renamed.

I don't know what you mean by d-t, but I was mislead by the name of the
list, especially as it appears on gmane
("gmane.linux.debian.user.testing"). I admit I didn't look at any
website to find out what the list is actually about but only skimmed
over the subject lines and read a few of them-- there were other poster
with similar sounding questions so I thought it might be ok to ask
here.

Or is this the wrong list? Can anyone suggest a more appropriate
forum to ask such questions?

I would still very much appreciate it if anyone could suggest a forum
where user questions such as mine are welcome.

Cheers
Ben
