On woody/x86, I get:
Reading Package Lists... Error!
E: Dynamic MMap ran out of room
E: Error occured while processing php4-interbase (NewVersion1)
E: Problem with MergeList /var/lib/apt/lists/ftp.fr.debian.org_debian_dists_sarge_main_binary-i386_Packages
E: The package lists or status file could not be parsed or opened.

So this looks like a duplicate of bug #310277: woody apt-get cannot cope
with the amount of packages in stable+sarge. sarge apt-get work fine.

The work-around is to do
echo 'APT::Cache-Limit "25165824";' >> /etc/apt/apt.conf

Thanks for your upgrade-reports,
