I've done

 % cd cvs/cvs.debian.org/debian-boot
 % CVSROOT=3D:pserver:anonymous@cvs.debian.org:/cvs/debian-boot cvs co debi=
an-installer
 % cd build

Now, building a floppy disk image from today's CVS results in free space
-188 K. I've tried to tune it by removing netcfg-static and
isa-pnp-modules from debian-installer/build/ pkg-lists/net/common and
debian-installer/build/pkg-lists/net/i386; but this failed too: free
space -158 k:

 % fakeroot make build
 ....

 cp: writing `/home/joostvb/cvs/cvs.debian.org/debian-boot/debian-installer=

BTW, just dd-ing the borken .img to fd0 does give a bootable floppy.
It's not of much use, though.

Hope this is of any use to you, and thanks for working on
debian-installer: it looks quite promissing!

Bye

Joost

Hm, I guess so:

root@nagy:~# apt-get update && apt-get install libdebian-installer3 \
 libdiscover1 slang1-utf8-pic syslinux dosfstools libdiscover1-pic \
 genext2fs mklibs libdebconf1 libc6-pic sysutils

A nice bootfloppy got created.

Dunno how I could've missed that the first time. I'd expect it to have
failed. Anyway, for some reason, the problems seems to be solved now.

Thanks, Bye,

Joost
