malformed
I think I've already written it too. About the malformed packages...
It smeems to that the procedure cannot handle the user's input correctly.
The first question is to give the host name you would take the pakages
from and later (in the second prompt) the path to it. The error handling
is not good at all
because whether you do something wrong with the address or even type in
the host with the protocol name for instance:
ftp://sunsite.icm.edu.pl/ instead of just sunsite.icm.edu.pl (it's where I
took my Woody from) the only response you'd get is that famous malformed
release file. No matter what the real reason is. The first time I
installed woody I had to forfeit sunsite and the installation took nearly
one night ;-) from one of the sites they default to (ftp.pl.debian.org -
in my case)
If somebody with more experience could check it, or at least say: Am I
right or wrong :-), we'd really appreciate
