Hello All,
i still have trouble with newer kernels than 5.6.0 on my Ultra25 up to
and including 6.0.0.
During boot the USB ohci-pci dies and mouse and keyboard (both Sun HW)
stop working.
I found no way to get mouse and keyboard recognized after that event,
e.g. by unloading and reloading ohci_pci and ohci_hcd and replugging
devices:
[ 7.421723] ohci-pci 0000:05:1c.0: HcDoneHead not written back; disabled
[ 7.422034] ohci-pci 0000:05:1c.0: HC died; cleaning up
No idea what's the problem here - I mainly use my SPARC gear via serial
console - but maybe it's worth a try to attach your keyboard and mouse
via an USB hub to one of the USB ports of the Ultra25.
Just got a few other ideas:
* Does it make a difference which USB port(s) you use for keyboard and
mouse?
* Does it make a difference with non-Sun keyboard and mouse?
* Does it work with just the keyboard?
* If your mouse is attached via the keyboard, does it make a difference
to put both keyboard and mouse and separate ports?
* Does the above also happen when you start-up w/o keyboard and mouse?
Cheers,
Frank
