I've stuck on an earlier version on account of the number of
showstopping unfixed bugs, but if I were looking at it I'd note the
earlier errors

and would blacklist the appropriate modules.
If anybody has good reason to think that that's a silly suggestion I'm
sure we'd all love to hear from them.
