I got it to work. I installed binutils-sparc and while it doesn't appear to work for the version of vmlinuz in kernel-image-2.4.19-sun4u_27_sparc.deb (same sun4cdm error from tilo), I did get it to work with the vmlinuz-2.4.18 and modules that got installed on this Ultra 10. Thanks for the help. Now I don't have to load Solaris on these X1s. :)
