2.2.0 kernel floppy disk problem



I built a 2.2.0 kernel then tried Debian install from floppy to no avail.
It fails to eject the rescue floppy disk and thus was unable to read the root
disk :-((

Any hints ?

PS: I built the kernel from kernel-source 2.2.0 & kernel-patch-2.2.0-2_sparc
    packages.  I rescue disk is booting the kernel using SILO 0.8.5 if it's
	matter.
