Bug#931958: package argument silently ignored if -f is present
Package: reportbug
Version: 7.5.2
$ reportbug --template -f /usr/share/bash-completion/completions/umount mount
Finding package for '/usr/share/bash-completion/completions/umount'... ^
Please re-run reportbug selecting one of these packages: ^
bash-completion ^
mount ^
^
But I did. It's right there ---------------------------------------------^
There is no error message, thus I am using the program correctly.
It is just silently throwing away the packagename argument.
And in this case there is no way for the user to successfully use the
program non-interactively. (dlocate is installed.)
P.S.,
-f FILENAME, --filename=FILENAME Report a bug in the package
containing FILENAME so you don't have to figure out what
package the file belongs to...
should mention that it also adds a File: header to the report.
(OK, one can use
-f /usr/share/bash-completion/completions/umount$
But then the $ ends up on the File: line. BUG.)
