Oh! you're right. I do forget this.

However it happens when people are too eager to use "generic" in Go,
when it's said by upstream that "generic" is not stable in Go1.18.
But yeah it's still breakage in point release. So upstream decides[1]
not fixing any "generic" bugs in later Go1.18 point release.
