:( that's a shame, given that the only reason the earlier versions of
1:2.20100701.2961 hadn't propagated into testing was the
still-outstanding http://bugs.debian.org/589103 (lsof FTBFS on non-linux
arches).

As for the soname transition, the only reverse dependency we have for
libxdo{1,2} is keynav, of which there is a package ready in sid that
works with the newer ABI.

Upstream also recently told me he hopes to stay at SONAME 2 for the
forseeable future, so having libxdo2 in squeeze would be nice for future
work.  Those are my reasons for thinking it'd be OK in squeeze, for
whatever they're worth.

Anyway, i understand your concerns, and trust your judgment about what
makes it into squeeze, even if i wish it were a different decision.
