Package: kdelibs4c2a
Version: 4:3.5.10.dfsg.1-0lenny1
Severity: important

Sometimes konqueror crashes and leaves the dcopserver in a "stuck" state.
If I strace dcopserver, I get only (a sighup was tried):

--- SIGHUP (Hangup) @ 0 (0) ---
rt_sigaction(SIGHUP, {0xb688e7a0, [HUP], SA_RESTART}, {0xb688e7a0,
[HUP], SA_RESTART}, 8) = 0
sigreturn()                             = ? (mask now [])
read(18,

With lsof I find that fd 18 is the dcop service socket:

dcopserve 27985 ldrolez 18u unix 0xd8682000 5080498 /tmp/.ICE-unix/dcop27985-1248257713

So it seems that:
1- konqueror crashes
2- dcopserver does not react properly when the socket fd 18 is broken
3- dcopserver still try to read from fd 18, but no replies...
4- new user programs cannot connect to dcopserver
5- I must restart the whole KDE session.

Cheers,

  Ludovic.

I'm closing this bug since KDE 3 is not supported anymore and the KDE SC 4.x
doesn't use dcop anymore.
