Bug#612088: kde-plasma-desktop: Desktop window settings not saved correctly

Package: kde-plasma-desktop
Version: 5:66
Severity: normal
Tags: l10n

KDE4 does not correctly save the window information of some autostart
utilities. KDE3 properly saved the window size, location, and startup
properties of all autostart applications. I upgraded to KDE4, and now some
apps do not appear as arranged by the user after the user logs out and back
in. For example, running Ksensors, the window is sized to accomodate 3 rows
of 6 tiles and places in the lower right-hand corner of the screen. After
logging off and back on, the window comes up with 4 rows of 5 tiles with 3
tiles missing, and the window is positioned far away from the lower
right-hand side of the screen. Another example is knutclient, which loads
to the tray, but does not come up on the desktop. The user must resize/
move / restore the window settings every time he logs in.
