I hope so. Otherwise there would be no chance to handle the sound system

I have tried it with the same result.

Between Matthias Kretz had also a look at this bug report.
He says also this is a problem in ALSA and not in phonon.
I think we should move this bug to the package ALSA.
I will try to move it.

It's the same result when i am not logged into KDE.
The only question is why sound is working nevertheless for some 
applications?
