No way should kdebase be deprecated, as it is a very useful package to install only the basic packages to get a minimal but working kde desktop. Anyways, if it is the expected behaviour of a system (wich has no proper sound system installed) to play the sound via the internal pc-speaker, then close this bug, please. many greetings and keep up your good work
