Package: kate
Version: 4:4.4.3-1
Severity: important

I have kate-plugins installed, 4:3.5.9-2, and I the filesystem browser,
the XML validation, tab browser, etc. plugins activated.

The filesystem browser window, if I attempt to use it, gives me a popup
window with the text "The process for the file protocol died
unexpectedly." each time I click on a directory link at the top of the
window or if I select a bookmark.

If I use "open," from the menu or from the icon bar, I get the same message.

kate can be used by using "kate -u filename" to add a file to the
editor, or by selecting the menu item "Open Recent."

This behavior started in my update to this most recent package.
Restarting kate does not help.
