I'm actually concerned that you may have stumbled onto a real problem with 
Debian's Qt packages. I'm not sure that they should be built for i686 (if 
indeed they are, and they certainly seem to be...).

Do you still have your Qt and kdelibs packages around? The ones that you 
built yourself, on your K6 system? If so, could install them, temporarily, 
and do the following for me:

strings /usr/lib/libqt-mt.so.3.3.4 | grep full-config
strings /usr/lib/kde3/plugins/designer/kdewidgets.so | grep full-config

and let me know what is returned. You could also extract them to a temporary 
directory and get the information from there (dpkg -x).
