    I can't reproduce this bug report here. Does it still exist in your
    system? If so, can you please test if the problem happens to a newly
    created user? If it doesn't, then there must exist some
    misconfiguration under your ~/.kde. If it does, then please write
    back telling the exact steps you follow and these files:

      ~/.kde/share/mimelnk/application/pdf.desktop
      ~/.kde/share/mimelnk/application/ps.desktop

    From BOTH your $HOME and the new user's $HOME.
