Package: laptop-net Version: 2.23-1 Severity: normal With an adsl-modem-router (netopia cayman 3341) used as gateway, this things happens: if the address of the modem is in the ip-map file (ie: if the address of the modem-router is ARP-tested to find wich machines are on the network), then the modem freeze, and is not anymore reachable from the LAN, and must be rebooted. The rest of the LAN is not affected. One way to solve the problem, for now, is _not_ to put the address of the modem in the ip-map file, but to use the address of another machine of the network. It seems to be a bug of the modem more than a bug of laptop-net. I don't really know. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable Architecture: i386 Kernel: Linux latitude 2.4.21-3-686 #1 Sun Jul 20 16:11:09 EST 2003 i686 Locale: LANG=fr_FR@euro, LC_CTYPE=fr_FR@euro Versions of packages laptop-net depends on: ii debconf 1.2.35 Debian configuration management sy ii ifupdown 0.6.4-4.4 High level tools to configure netw ii libc6 2.3.1-16 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libnet1 1.1.0-3 Library for the construction and h ii libpcap0.7 0.7.2-1 System interface for user-level pa ii lockfile-progs 0.1.9 Programs for locking and unlocking ii modutils 2.4.21-2.1 Linux module utilities ii net-tools 1.60-8 The NET-3 networking toolkit -- debconf information excluded
