Dear Editors of Debian Project News (DPN), Thanks to planing to mention about Japanese version of The Debian Administrator's Handbook in the upcoming DPN[1]. [1] https://anonscm.debian.org/git/publicity/dpn.git/commit/?id=be322fc54023514262d5b1d2a26a520a49beada5 I am a coordinator from Japanese translation team of that book. And I would like you to include my thankful words on the article. Upon translation, my team has collaborated with many people on the net. However, Raphael's blog article[2], which is referred, is not sufficient to express our gratitude to many contribution from them. [2] https://debian-handbook.info/2016/get-the-japanese-version-of-the-debian-administrators-handbook/ Of cause, I already expressed that to them by mail. But, referring Japanese resources and/or private communications might not be suitable for DPN. That is why I summarized my appreciative words in English below (enclosed by "======"). ============================================================== First of all, on behalf of the Japanese translation team, I would like to express our thanks to the authors, Raphaël Hertzog and Roland Mas, for giving freedom of translation. On the other hand, I would like to acknowledge many important suggestions and comments about Japanese translation notably from the members of Debian JP Project's mailing lists (in particular, debian-doc@debian.or.jp) and Japanese DDs also. In addition, I appreciate difficult works associated with Japanese-localized layout of book cover by designer: Doru Patrascu. It have not been possible to publish the Japanese version of The Debian Administrator's Handbook without cross-cooperation between the authors, the translators, and the designer. Thank you very much for your great supports! ============================================================== If possible, could you review the paragraph and quote or remark it in the article? I hope that being mentioned by official news sources will encourage translation team members and attract potential contributors. I am looking forward to your reply. Sincerely yours, Ryuunosuke Ayanokouzi -- AYANOKOUZI, Ryuunosuke <i38w7i3@yahoo.co.jp>
