Re: MiniDebConf at FOSSASIA 2016

Hi Daniel
I see you sent the "MiniDebconf at FOSSASIA 2016" info to debian-announce@lists.debian.org before, and it got rejected because sending to that list is moderated by the publicity delegates.

I see that you sent it to debian-devel-announce then.

If you want to promote the event in the different channels that the Publicity team handles (bits.debian.org, social networks, Debian Project News...), please have a look at this wiki page:

https://wiki.debian.org/Teams/Publicity/DeveloperInformation

and send us your ideas/proposals, so we coordinate together.

Thanks

The FOSSASIA organizers have generously offered to arrange
Debian-related talks and workshops into a Debian track, promoted as a
MiniDebConf[1] at FOSSASIA 2016[2].

FOSSASIA 2016 is from 18-20 March at the Science Centre Singapore. It
also coincides with pgDay Asia[3] (17 and 19 March)

Space may also be requested by any group who wants to organize a Debian
Sprint[4] at FOSSASIA.

People who want to propose a talk or workshop may still do so through
the form[5]

Please note that the extent of Debian's participation at this event will
depend on the number of volunteers. There is sufficient commitment for
talks to go ahead in a room dedicated to Debian and for a table where
Debian-related materials can be distributed with or without volunteers
present.

If you can help with financial sponsorship, speaking or volunteering
for the Debian table that would help optimize Debian's presence at
FOSSASIA.

If you wish to help, discuss this event or ask questions, please join
the debconf-discuss[6] mailing list, the FOSSASIA mailing list[7] or
see the contacts on the wiki[1].

For those contemplating travel from further away and a possible
holiday, please note that Singapore has a road and rail bridge to
Malaysia[8] and direct flights (between 1 and 2 hours) to many of the
well-known holiday destinations in the region, including Penang,
Phuket, Bali and many more using either regular or budget airlines.
