Money isn't neutral and has specific social effects when it comes into
play, that are different from other resources such as time. So we should
care.
I recommend you (or anyone else for that matter) read "What Money Can't
Buy" by Michael Sandel. It describes very well the unique features that
money can introduce into an equation.
