For a start, don't send your proposals around as .doc files. Second, know that the Open Source community doesn't "take on" projects. Someone starts something, and anyone who's interested joins in. You'll need to provide a lot of either energy or money to kick the project off, because people won't flock to a project that is vapour -- they need something concrete to work on and get an idea of the vision for the project. - Matt
