Problem Printing to Brother HL-1430
Hi there,
I'm using Debian Lenny, and I'm trying to print to a Brother HL-1430 laser printer over USB. I've previously been able to print using Debian Etch, and also Ubuntu.
Problem Description:
I select print and it sends the print job to the print queue. It is listed as "processing" in the "Document Print Status" window. The printer itself powers up, and the Data light blinks (ie. suggesting the printer is receiving print data). But then the Data light stops blinking, the "Document Print Status" window reports the print job as successful, but nothing has happened.
I can boot up into Ubuntu and print fine, with the exact same physical configuration.
I can also print-to-file (ie. PDF) with Debian just fine.
This leads me to think it may be an issue with the driver.

Can anyone help me? Are there any tests I can do? Or should I file this as a bug?
