I never used the unpatched module. Right now I am running two endless
loops without the module loaded for almost an hour. The fan started
working at full speed some time and no crash until now.

I never had a crash on this PowerBook using kernel 2.4 or 2.6 exept when
I tested two patches of this series: The one now and the one with with
the limit at 50°C. 
BTW, Marco how did you get the cpu temperure underr MacOSX. This sounds
like a stupid question, I know, but since I use it that rarely...
