albook 15": bluetooth stopped working after firmware upgrade to 1.1

hi folks..

hw: albook 15"
kernel: 2.6.5-rc3-ben0-mh3 (mh3 means latest bluetooth patches)

today, i did a software update on OS X which brought a new firmware
(1.1) for the bluetooth device. this firmware should improve the behaviour of
bluetooth keyboards and mice. so far, under OS X, i can still talk to my
mobile phone.
now under linux, i do not have a device hci0 anymore and thus no
connection to my phone. the driver hci_usb loads just fine, but does not
generate the needed device. by chance, i found out, that the bluetooth
device claims to be something different than before in the list of USB
devices:

T: Bus=02 Lev=00 Prnt=00 Port=00 Cnt=00 Dev#= 1 Spd=12 MxCh= 2

 E: Ad=82(I) Atr=03(Int.) MxPS= 16 Ivl=1ms

please note the device in lev 01. usbview says that Prot 01 and 02 are
keyboard and mouse protocols. interesting coincidence...
since i looked quite often into /proc/bus/usb/devices in the last days,
i strongly believe that the device had more interfaces back then.
could someone of you please send me the relevant part of your output of
/proc/bus/usb/devices? with that information, i hope to be able to persuade
hci_usb to treat this device as a bluetooth device again. though perhaps
i am completely misguided here...

thanks,
 sebastian
