Boot floppy woes

I know this was covered in the list in the past but searching the posts got
me nowhere as to actually solving the problem. I'm trying to install Debian
onto a UMAX C500 using the floppy images. The problem is the keyboard
locking up. I know someone posted how to fix this when you're already in
Linux, but nothing on fixing it from MacOS. I also thought there was a link
to a working version, but it had the same problem.

If anyone out there has the working (which I guess means old?) version of
the boot floppy image, I'd greatly appreciate a heads up as to where I can
find it. Or another fix that I can perform in MacOS.
