Re: A last question to Pismo owners (floppy drive)
I have used this exact same device on a Lombard with no troubles what so
ever. I can not recall right now whether I tried one on a Pismo. On the
Lombard it showed up as an IDE device and functioned fine with floppies. I
can not remember if I tried actual 120 disks or not. I do not have a Pismo
nor one of the VST drives at my current location but I will see if a
couple of the guys from the office can test one on their Pismos and will
let you know the results.
To answer the question on the linuxppc list, the drive requires no thrid
party drivers to function under MacOS 9. Ours actually came with a little
slip of paper saying so and to not install the drivers if you were running
8.6 or later if I recall correctly.
