They are tightly coupled. The mozilla ab stuff needs a patched mozilla
and some internal mozilla headers so either you include the binary
mozilla stuff or build an own mozilla copy ourselves again. Both are no
options. No, building against the system-mozilla won't work for the
mozilla addressbook stuff.

No, it's not. It's deliberate. We are a) *not allowed* to include
binary-only mozilla zips and b) the ftpmasters, buildd team and security
team will kill us if we build an own mozilla. This is a nightmare for
(security-)bug fixing. Not to mention that it will increase OOos package
size....

Indeed. But it's not as easy as you think, means: not possible
currently.

You can happily try to work on it and make it work, though and send us
patches... But I doubt you'll get far.

OOo upstream sucks with some lib/app handling, that's no news.....
