^ this function is one defined by the macro
author (Danny B, who writes a lot of macros).
In the upstream installation I had already installed Danny's Library
in the same module as the active macro, so I didn't get the error.
Apologies! I thought maybe there was something specific to the debian
packages -- stupid!
