I would like to advocate Ignace to become a Debian Maintainer, I have been sponsoring him for some time now and his work is of very high quality. I also will be happy to advocate him in the future if he applies to become a DD, I am confident he knows about Debian and free software. And that he also has all the required skills. Quick explanation if you are wondering why this mail is being sent one year after the initial declaration. One year ago, another sponsor of Ignace who was very happy about his work encouraged him to apply to DM, (which I think was pretty fine). Then Ignace also mailed me asking about my advocation. By that time even if Ignace was doing a very good job, I still did not feel like I know him enough to advocate him and I told him that. Ignace felt maybe he was hurrying too much and he never asked to be added to the keyring even if he had already one advocation message. Since then, I have continued working with Ignace, got to know him better and I even got the chance to meet him in person in the last France mini-debconf. Some days ago he sent me a couple of packages to sponsor and I remembered we still had this pending! Ana
