Ah, I see your point. That's of course something that I didn't expect in the first place. I expected to reach a Debian mirror, and simply entered cdn.debian.net into a browser and looked around. And then soon ran into the problem.
So I assume that an URL like http://cdn.debian.net/debian/ would be supposed to work. (Just an assumption - I don't know the policies involved in running a Debian mirror.)
