Have also tried the anheng 2.6.37 and 2.6.38 kernels.  Again no luck.
BTW, I tried on a ia64 box, and the TU2-ET100 works really nice on it.
 I think my suspision upon broken USB controller is more than that.

Again, any help is appreciated.
