It actually looks like something pretty trivial to fix, please have a
look at this advice:

As pointed by Andreas, dpkg-maintscript-helper should help to take care
of the conffiles if needed.
There is no point to bother the release team without fixing this RC bug,
please also bear in mind that only 0.9.30.4-1.1 is in wheezy, and the
debdiff against this version should comply with the current freeze policy.
