1) Upstream "make clean" is not idempotent: it fails it there's nothing to clean. Replacing "rm" with "rm -f" should fix this issue.Fixed by using $(RM).
This fix appears to be part of 1002_remove_some_warnings.patch. Could you move it into a separate patch?
Please also bump date in the changelog. -- Jakub Wilk
