Alternatively, one can download the package with dget using this command:

 dget -x http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/s/sxiv/sxiv_1.0-1.dsc


I have this terrible feeling of déjà vu… ;)

You broke allow-cflags-override.diff, and CFLAGS from dpkg-buildflagsare not passed to the build system anymore. Also, nowadaysdpkg-buildflags sets also CPPFLAGS and LDFLAGS, so please use them, too.
