Hi, a package maintained by me has an open bug regarding the debian/menu longtitle field. (#445161) Quoting Bill Allombert, the author of the bug report: " The longtitle must stand by itself without the title. It is generally a good idea that it contains the software name preferably at the start. "Cryptkeeper encFS system tray applet" would be better. " I've searched in the menu policy some instructions about this but I haven't found good instructions about best practices filling the longtitle field. IMHO it's useless to repeat the application name on the longtitle because it appears after a while under the mouse pointer (at least in gnome). Your opinions?
