Re posting my request, since I haven't got any sponsors yet. The package is available from mentors.debian.net. The package has a few modifications (since last request) to close some bugs. I should probably note that this version fixes various RC bugs, and hopefully I can fix all of them so checkinstall gets into etch. -- Felipe Sateler
