I thoroughly explained the problem in that link with the back and forth on the debian-users mailing list. Bottom line is DL should not make any assumptions about the base system nor should it change the hardware clock, nor should it make users set start up or configuration parameters ... To me that was and is the whole purpose of running a live system. lbrtchx
