this looks like you're doing that in a already populated directory,
which you shouldn't do.

if you change the distribution (or other stuff that has dependent
defaults), you should re-populate in an empty directory, and not do an
'lh config' call on top.

we plan to fix that and make lh config robust, but nobody got arround to
do it yet.
