No subject
initramfs isn't finding my CD ROM. I tried to boot from a CD with a burned
ISO on a separate machine- it was a no go. Either I have my kernel
configured wrong when I compiled it, or I am missing something.
I did use the config from the kernel that comes with Debian Etch (
2.6.18-4-686) for my recompiled kernel with source (2.6.18.1) from
kernel.org. I just copied it and changed only a few things in the kernel
config. Could that be a problem?
I will keep searching the list in case I missed something. It would be
great if someone could explain what the problem could be if it does in fact
turn out to be something other than just my CD ROM.

p.s. The machines I used to test the CD work flawlessly in all of the live
Cd's and install disks I have come across.
