Bug#555278: lintian: Do not flag /usr/bin/r as an unusual interpreter
Package: lintian
Version: 2.2.17
Severity: wishlist
Hola,
I just got this in a package of mine:
W: r-cran-rcpp: unusual-interpreter ./usr/lib/R/site-library/Rcpp/examples/functionCallback/ExampleRCode.r #!/usr/bin/r
Now, I am actually the proud co-author of /usr/bin/r and would love if it was
not longer discriminated against -- it's a proper shebang-line wrapper (and
cmdline frontend) for GNU R that we called 'r' just to make sure it is clear
that it is a (non-interactive) subset of R.
A bit more about 'r' is at http://dirk.eddelbuettel.com/code/littler.html
Cheers, Dirk
