I don't think this a very good analogy.  This is like saying that by
playing the guitar with an audience, I am publicly performing the book
I used when I learned how to play.  When performing a song, the actual
song, albeit somewhat altered, is what reaches the audience.  When
serving web pages, no information from the server software reaches the
clients.

Anyhow, this has been discussed at length here not long ago, so there
is no need to do it over again.
