And there goes the foot...

In weak defence, I'll say that the GPL only begets GPL works, which is
different than "free for free, fee for fee", since the GPL says nothing
about whether you can charge for it.

Other licences with ideas similar to those stated above (the attributions
have disappeared, so I can't say who said it) have been considered non-free
in the past - the old Qt licence comes to (hazy) recollection.
