I believe this is pretty well agreed.
However, realize that if you release a work under the GFDL, someone else
can add a cover text or invariant section, and it will then be impossible
for you to incorporate their changes into your own version.
I recommend using the GPL and a notice of interpretation that you consider
formatted, printed works "binary" and machine-readable editable input
"source".
