problems resuming from suspend to disk

hi there,
my suspend to disk works good. but when i resume the system it becomes
very unstable and hangs. has enybody an idea where the problem is.
should i unload alsa modules and rtc before i suspend?

i use debian sid with kernel 2.4.21 and X 4.2.2 at a gericom supersonic
