Salve Max,

your mail motivated me to try it, too - and I have just send a fax successfuly
with efax and Nokia Cardphone, when I specify the fax-class 2 with the
option "-o 2":
efax -o 2 -t T022112345678 testfax.001

Within 2 trys I was not able to recieve a fax, my dialing was routed to my
voice-mailbox by the GSM-provider. So I would like you to join testing
- recieving fax manualy
- recieving fax automaticaly
- recieving fax from "mailbox" of the GSM-provider on demand
- finding the cheapest way to send short fax messages
- software for mobile-faxing

to write a small guide as a mini-Howto or small chapter of
"mobile-faxing" for the Mobile-Guide of "Mobilix.org"

Greetings,
rob

The Nokia webpage is telling about "Nokia Card Phone specifications":
"PC Fax: - Classes 1, 2, 2.0, ECM"

efax has problem with automaticaly fax-class reconnition:

robins:/home/rob/test# efax -t T022112345678 testfax.001

and also problems with fax class 2.0 (-o 0):

quote from "man efax":
-o opt use option opt to accommodate a non-standard fax
modem protocol. See the MODEM REQUIREMENTS sec
tion below for more details. The options are:

0 Force use of Class 2.0 fax modem commands. The
                modem must support Class 2.0.

2 Force use of Class 2 fax modem commands. The
                modem must support Class 2.

1 Force use of Class 1 fax modem commands. The
modem must support Class 1. By default efax
queries the modem and uses the first of the three
above classes which is supported by the modem.
