This is the appropriate Gettext message in the French translation of
GNU make-4.2.93:

#~ msgid "%s: recipe for target '%s' failed"
#~ msgstr "%s : la recette pour la cible « %s » a échoué"

In this latest version it has already been fixed, and moreover, this
message is no longer used. The most recent occurence is in make-4.0:

#: job.c:501
#, c-format
msgid "%s: recipe for target '%s' failed"
msgstr "%s : la recette pour la cible « %s » a échouée"

This version has been released october 9, 2013 and is still shipped
with Debian Jessie. Don't know whether it's worth the effort at all.
Jessie is actually EOL (June 30, 2020), but still marked as
»oldoldstable«, maybe until Bullseye has been released and Stretch
becomes »oldoldstable«.

Best Regards,
Mario
