Ich denke einfach, Daten und System trennen. Knoppix macht ja auch das schon
vor...
Das komprimierte Root-Laufwerk liegt in KNOPPIX/KNOPPIX, einige Daten in
/index.html oder /autostart.ini, usw. Oder auch die OpenMusic-Tracks!
D.h. die Knoppix ruhig weiterhin übers CLoop-Device booten lassen, aber alle
Daten ganz normal auf dem ISO9660-Image haben!
Aber pass auf, dass du das Rad von www.movix.org nicht neuerfindest.

Andreas wants to build a system that needs no X and just can output some
videos over DirectFB. He wonders if Knoppix is the right thing for this and
if he can store the Videos uncompressed, so other operating system are still
able to read it.
I told him, that he can store the Knoppix image in /KNOPPIX/KNOPPIX as
compressed image for programs [don't forget to keep the cd-record programs to
master it ;-)] and his videos (data) in the normal ISO9660-System. Like the
OpenMusic tracks just now.
Last I told him to not reinvent the wheel of www.movix.org or so...
